Restaurants and coffee shops can now be “Hot Spots” provided by WisperTel
WisperTel announces it now provides “Hot Spot” services in local restaurants and coffee shops.
We are very excited about this service said Michael Brinks, Director of Business Development and Sales. “We saw a need to provide Broadband services to users while they enjoyed a meal or a cup of coffee.” Our Hot Spot equipment permits users to sign up for a one-time use, weekly or monthly. “No one else was providing this service in our market,” Brinks said.
Now local restaurants and coffee shops not affiliated with national chains can provide broadband access to their patrons. The WisperTel “Hot Spot” system permits owners of these venues to create their own fee schedules or not charge at all. Users can use standard 802.11 Wi-Fi wireless access devices to connect to the Internet at these locations.
WisperTel service provides “always on” Internet access that does not depend on phone lines or cable systems and is not affected by weather, slow speeds at peak times, connectivity problems and high monthly fees. WisperTel “Hot Spots” are already being planned for several locations.
