WisperTel adds Executive Staff and Board Member
Michael Brinks, Director of Business Development
Mr. Brinks holds a BGS Degree in Business, Psychology, and Political
Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michael
is an accomplished motivated, results-driven executive with extensive
experience in telecommunications. A proven performer in assembling
and directing successful operations and marketing teams, Michael
is capable of developing a business plan and then managing to attain
"profit" objectives. Michael has demonstrated success
in operations, marketing, planning, raising capital, contract negotiations
and combining the elements and people necessary for a successful
telecommunications business.
In the past twenty-three years, Michael has had "hands-on"
experience in operations, sales and marketing with a reputation
for creative problem solving and success. Beginning his career with
ten years in the Bell System (Ameritech, U S West) he was most recently
Chief Operating Officer of REANET Corporation, a consortium of rural
electric partners, Michael was directly responsible for obtaining
$60 million in financing commitments, developing successful Internet
sales/marketing plans, improving back office functions and managing
a staff of over thirty, 15,000 dial-up ISP subscribers, and $4 million
in revenues. Michael previously as Vice President and Partner of
MMS, Inc. provided executive level consulting services internationally
and domestically by assessing telecommunications business opportunities
for cable television operators, competitive access providers, and
power utility companies. Herein, Michael started several telecommunications
enterprises. And earlier Michael was a founder of ICG Communications,
Inc. As ICG's Vice-President and General Manager, Michael
was responsible for its initial business strategy. Michael succeeded
in raising capital, building an effective team of over 60 employees
that installed the first high-speed competitive fiber optic network
in Colorado. Responsible for day-to-day management of the company,
Michael developed and implemented operations, marketing, regulatory
and services strategies.
Eric Tomaszewski, Senior Technical Manager
Mr. Tomaszewski holds a BBA Degree in Finance from the University
of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. Eric has had over 8 years of progressively
responsible positions in technology assessment and deployment including
over 5 years of management or team lead positions. Over the past
3 years Eric worked solely in the wireless arena, building and maintaining
an outsourced wireless remote access infrastructure for Fortune
500 companies.
Eric has vast experience in planning, building and supporting enterprise
wide solutions. As Network Systems Manager for Vaultus Mobile Technologies,
Inc. Aurora, Colorado Eric was responsible for a telecommunications
infrastructure supporting 150 internal corporate users and 6000+
external customers. In addition, he built and supported a state-of-the-art
network operations center supporting those customers. Prior to working
for Vaultus Eric was with Skil-Bosch Power Tools where he planned
and implemented network infrastructure and equipment to support
a company wide SAP integration project. Eric has built on his experience
by obtaining various certifications in his field. Some of the qualifications
he has attained include: Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco
Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer,
Compaq ASE Certification and Hewlett Packard's NetServer Certification.
George Bruno, Board of Directors
Mr. Bruno has more than 40 years experience in the Telecommunications
industry. George was a Product Manager and directed the Strategic
Business Unit at Qwest (U S West, Mountain Bell). George also participated
in developing advanced training courses and was an Instructor at
U S West. As part of his U S West career George spent two years
in New Jersey as U S West Liaison Officer to AT&T. As Marketing
Manager for U S West, George was responsible for all marketing and
sales activities for seven of the U S West 14 state operating territory.
When the Bell System became divested, George was named Vice President
and then President of the first U S West deregulated subsidiary,
Mountain Bell Technologies.
George left the Bell System to become an industry leader as the
first President of the first publicly traded Competitive Local Exchange
Carrier, (CLEC) ICG Communications. As President and CEO for over
six years George planned, developed and raised capital for, what
was then, the largest competitive carrier in the United States.
George was a past member of the Governor's CEO Council and
a State Lobbyist involved in telecommunications issues. George remains
active as he serves on several boards of telecommunications companies.
